What is Gift Aid?

If you’re a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your charity donations by choosing to donate through ‘Gift Aid’. By ticking Gift Aid on your donations, INSAAN will get an extra 25% at no extra cost to you.

So for every £1 you donate to INSAAN through Gift Aid, we can claim an extra 25p (the tax you paid at basic rate) from the government to make your total donation £1.25.

To be eligible for adding Gift Aid onto your donations, you must have paid income or capital gains tax (in the UK) for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) at least equal to the tax that all the charities or Community Amateur Sports Clubs that you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year. Other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.
